You get several a visit through not doing things (as in the Mad King says: etc), it also seemd to give you a ToT when he asked for music and others played - giving a total of 10 ToT bags for an afk person per visit.

I strongly disagree. The main event is Halloween - that is one day event.
You wouldnt take your kids out trick or treating on the 1st Nov because you were too busy on the 31st after all.

Also the main event is supposed to be the "big ending" and everything else is just part of the build up. Your suggestion takes this away.

as far as lag is concerned, having the event longer just means lag for a longer period imho. A very high percentage of the people that afk'd for masks and ToT bags would continue for the free bags _ I think I am much happier with lag for 1 day than a small percentage less lag over the course of a longer event.

As you can tell from the summary, I am not too pleased on the Mad King arrival and hat giving ceremony. Why:

Premise 1:
Halloween is at the end of October/first November (this of course cannot be changed) and therefore a busy time for those in the Southern hemisphere particularly. Many have exams, long work commitments etc.

The Mad King's visits are poorly designed. Why do we have decorated towns for an entire week beforehand and then have the Mad King visit relatively few times? I am not arguing the decorations are up for too long, rather the Mad King visits too irregularly or for too short a duration (i.e rather than 24 hours with a visit every 3 hours how about 48 hours with visits every three hours, or 24 hours with visits hourly?)

I know for many of you time is no issue. You can easily visit both towns a few times, remain afk for hours etc but not everyone has this "privelege" (i.e have other commitments).

You will probably argue increasing visits would result in all sorts of horrendous evils, like people obtaining too many virtual bags etc.

That's all folks.

I'm sorry the world couldn't have moved Halloween to a different date to better suit your needs but you have to move on. Halloween is a one night deal, giving out hats for more then the night is stupid. It takes no "commitment" to afk one event time then move your character to the other town to afk there. I find the whole too many virtual bags given out thing humorous considering you're complaining about not getting your virtual hat?
